When selecting a dog bed, keep the following in mind:

Size matters: Make sure there is enough room for your dog to stretch out comfortably.

Support level: Elderly dogs or those with joint issues benefit from orthopaedic memory foam bases.

Cover material: A durable, removable cover that can be machine washed.

We want your dog bed to be as comfortable as possible, as well as ensuring durability of our products so that they last as long as possible. The tips below will help you to get the most out of your new Snuggles bed:

Protect the memory foam structure – The outer cover is removable and machine-washable (see washing instructions), and the inner orthopaedic memory foam base is designed to hold its shape for up to 10 years. Try to avoid placing the foam directly on wet surfaces or leaving it in standing water as this will likely cause damage. It is definitely not a good idea to leave the bed outdoors where it is exposed to the weather.

Clean as needed – If spills or puppy accidents happen, you can simply unzip the cover and wipe the memory foam with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent. Then air dry on the washing line before replacing the cover.

Cover replacement – Our beds are designed to keep their shape for a significant amount of time, but if you want a fresh look, you can purchase a new  cover from our “Covers” range and refresh your bed without having to buy a brand new bed.

Chewing & damage – While the bed is built for durability, it is not chew-proof. Whilst be do offer a warranty, it does not cover damage caused by chewing or biting, so we recommend against purchasing if your dog has a habit of damaging beds.

Choosing the right size and placing the bed in a good location will help your dog get the most restful sleep and ensure your get the best use out of our beds. Please see our size guide on the product pages for exact measurements.

Measure your dog properly – As highlighted in the FAQ, measure from the head (when lying stretched out) to the base of the tail, then match the size guide provided on the product pages. This ensures both internal and external dimensions are taken into account.

Allow space around the bed – While you want the bed to feel cozy, make sure there’s enough space for your dog to step in and out easily, and for air to circulate underneath.

Multiple beds or zones – If your dog has both a favourite sofa spot and a cosy quiet corner, consider an additional bed or moving yours between zones depending on time of day.
